KOKEDAMAS // Mindful Workshop Experience // BEGINNER-FRIENDLY
A calming, hands-on workshop celebrating mindful, creative botanical artCost:
$75.00 per personDuration:
1h 30minAbout this experience
Step into the quiet, grounding world of kokedama—an ancient Japanese gardening art-form that celebrates simplicity, balance, and the beauty of nature.
Originating in Japan during the Edo period of the 1600's, kokedama (literally translating to “moss ball”) evolved from the art of bonsai. Traditionally displayed on a dish or suspended with twine, these moss-wrapped root balls transform everyday houseplants into sculptural, living artworks—each one unique and ever-changing.
In this hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn the process of making kokedama using a carefully selected plant, natural moss, and wrapping materials. You’ll be guided through every step as you create not one, but two kokedamas to take home—perfect for gifting or starting your own little hanging garden.
This is more than just a craft—it’s a mindful, meditative experience. As you press the soil, wrap the roots, and feel the cool moss between your fingers, you’ll find yourself slowing down, tuning in, and reconnecting with the beauty of natural materials and quiet creativity.
Whether you're looking for a moment of calm, a thoughtful gift idea, or a new way to green up your home, this workshop offers a peaceful, rewarding experience for all.
